About the Grants Officer:
The Grants Office forms part of Office of the Deputy Director, providing assistance to all QIMR Berghofer researchers at every stage of the grant process, including pre
- and post-award administration, financial management and compliance with funding body requirements.
Role Purpose / Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
coordinate all aspects of post-award research grant administration including financial management of cost centres, expenditure statements and reporting; negotiation of research agreements; provide information, support or advice to all levels of Institute staff on research grant-related matters.
In addition, you will also assist researchers and the research development team to attract competitive grant funding within Australia and overseas, and develop and advertise grant funding opportunities to QIMR Berghofer's researchers.
About you:
To be successful, you will have tertiary qualifications in accounting or equivalent financial experience and experience in the administration of research grants including budgeting, cost accounting, and preparation of management reports and financial statements.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting demands and multiple priorities and problem solving skills is essential as is highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact easily with all levels of staff.
Remuneration:
Salary range is $95,486 to $103,882 p.a. plus super, plus salary packaging. This is a permanent, full-time appointment.
