A fantastic opportunity exists to join the group in the capacity of a Facilities Supervisor.

The role will be responsible for assisting the Executive Manager - Facilities with leading the maintenance team of all building related structures, systems and equipment for Club Central Hurstville, ICC House, Travelodge Hurstville and other local properties owned by the Club.


We are looking for someone who will be responsible for:

  • Supervising maintenance and repairs both planned and ad hoc for Illawarra Catholic Club owned Hurstville facilities;
  • Managing maintenance staff;
  • Daily booking in jobs for and checking standard of work for maintenance staff;
  • Managing work order system for above mentioned sites, including checking system and assigning jobs and checking on job completion;
  • Hands on maintenance work where required;
  • Taking after hours calls and attending to works/organising on call staff or contractors;
  • Organizing on call roster and distributing to maintenance staff;
  • Contractor management for planned and ad hoc maintenance and repairs including organising contractors and checking on completed works;
  • Liaising with other departments in the Illawarra Catholic Club and commercial property manager to organise repairs and maintenance;
  • Liaising with commercial property manager regarding building works, works impacting tenants and access to tenancies for maintenance staff or contractors;
  • Managing computer based programmes for buildings services including the Building Management System and lighting control;
  • Organising and booking in testing and repairs for annual fire safety statement;
  • Organizing monthly tool checks;
  • Work in with other Illawarra Catholic Club owned sites for larger maintenance jobs that require more staff and;
  • Being onsite after hours for building major works or essential testing or to provide access to contractors.
  • 3 years' experience in similar facilities role
  • Experience in managing Building Management Systems
  • Great communication skills
  • Relevant experience in maintenance or general hand roles
  • Good demonstration and understanding of manual handling
  • Good grooming and presentation
