We are currently seeking a dedicated Rock Drill Sales Account Manager to join our team.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the implementation of Rock Drilling Tools Sales/Technical support, enhancing product utilization on customer sites to improve Sales/Area operational effectiveness.


Overall Purpose of the Position:


The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing key accounts, fostering long-term client relationships, and maximizing sales opportunities within existing and new clients in WA, primarily in the Perth and Kalgoorlie areas.

The role involves identifying field operational solutions to enhance product quality and customer sales productivity.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with other departments to establish design technology and product development for vendor strategy.
  • Utilize networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means to generate interest from potential clients.
  • Monitor customer issues and quality control/feedback from Sales, collaborating with Factory teams for timely resolutions.
  • Research and monitor existing client base and industry developments, identifying potential new product opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to sales teams in troubleshooting product and technical issues on customer sites.
  • Develop persuasive approaches and pitches to convince potential clients to do business.
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.
  • Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
  • Provide technical training to other area team members during assigned business trips.
  • Comply with and enforce companyestablished policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional image consistent with the company profile in the marketplace, particularly when handling telephone and casual inquiries.
  • Actively support and contribute to the company management system.
  • Support stock management, including purchase plans and sales forecasting.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and internationally.

Skills and Conditions:


  • Previous experience as a Sales Account Manager in the resource industry.
  • Business trips to Kalgoorlie twice a month (if not residing in Kalgoorlie).
  • Advantageous to have experience in mining parts or tools.
