Description

  • We are looking to employ a Certificate III qualified educator to work with our 4yearold group. The coeducator role provides essential support to our teacher, contributing to the educational program and planning, actively supporting every child to participate in the program, and ensuring the children's interests are promoted. The 4yearold program includes a weekly "bush kinder" session. Bush kinder involves 3 hours of supervised, unstructured free play in the bush using what nature has provided as learning materials. Children are able to explore the environment at their own pace, and the opportunities for children to direct their own learning are endless. We have a dedicated team of educators who support one another, and would love to find someone just as passionate and enthusiastic, and with a natural desire to collaborate with colleagues. Employment conditions are in accordance with the industry VECTEA 2020 agreement, with continued professional development and training throughout the year.
The position is for a total of 19 hours per week (15 hours contact, 4 hours non-contact planning time):

  • Tuesday (2 hours planning, flexible to be combined to 4 hours fortnightly instead)
  • Wednesday 8am 4:30pm
  • Friday 8am 4:30pm

In addition to standard weekly hours, we hold 2 x paid whole team meetings per term which all staff attend.
