Project Assistant-Government related Organisation
The government organisation is currently looking for a
Project Assistant for a for Australian and Japanese investment.

You will be the point of contact for some Australian company who is interested in investing in Japan market.

This is great opportunity for you to start in a career in a government organisation and exposed to various businesses and industries for investment opportunities.

If you are Native level English speaker with some cultural understanding of Japan, interest to Japan, or with Japanese language skill, we would like to hear from you.

The similar experience is not necessary.

  • Sydney CBD, Monday to Friday
  • 10:00 am 4:00 pm (1 hour lunch break)
  • Start Date: July 1, March 31, 2024
Assisting the Business Development Team as a Project Assistant by providing support in various tasks
-
Support tasks for the following businesses conducted by the team:

  • Support for Australia and New Zealand companies' investments in Japan (providing information and services, handling inquiries, etc.)
  • Support for business collaboration and partnership between Japanese companies and companies in Australia and New Zealand
  • Support for Japanese companies expanding into Australia and New Zealand (business matching support, handling inquiries, etc.)


Specifically, this role involves providing guidance and assistance to customers regarding services and programs offered regular communication and updates to existing customers who have used services, and other related tasks.

As the Director will provide instructions, the job is not expected to be overly complicated.

Coordination and communication with customers and relevant organizations involved in business operations:

  • Interaction with Australian and New Zealand and Japanese companies (manufacturers, importers, restaurant operators, retailers, startups, contractors, etc., across various industries)
  • Interaction with Austrade, state governments, and other Japaneserelated government agencies and relevant organisations

Interaction and coordination with Headquarters as part of business operations.
***- Note:
  • Possibility of domestic/international business trips.
  • English native speaker is preferred as the main focus is on Australian and New Zealand companies.
  • Japanese language ability is desirable but not mandatory.
  • The Business Development Team consists of one Director and three staff members (including the person in this position).
  • Prior experience or specialised knowledge in a similar role is not required, but an interest in promoting economic relations between Japan and Australia is desirable.
  • Work is primarily based in the office with the possibility of remote work depending on the situation.
