5054- Date: 12-Apr-2023- Location: Brisbane, QLD, AU, 4000- Company: Queensland RailWe currently have a 23 month fixed term full-time opportunity for a LV Systems Assurance Coordinator to join our LV Systems Engineering team in Brisbane.


The LV Systems Engineering discipline has involvement in projects such as Cross River Rail and other major projects such as the Beerburrum - Nambour duplication, Logan to Gold Coast Faster Rail, and new stations across the north Gold Coast line, providing expert advice as the Rail Authority.

Key responsibilities will include:


  • Review contractor's low voltage (LV) ITCIPs and develop, where required, on Queensland Rail's behalf.
  • Coordinate implementation of low voltage (LV) ITCIPs and manage certification and handover processes for specific electrical systems installations.
  • Assist in the planning and development of risk assessments, safety in design for constructability, and related documentation to facilitate testing and commissioning activities for designated projects.
  • Review test procedures and competencybased requirements for testing and commissioning low voltage (LV) activities.
  • Coordinate availability of competent resources for testing and commissioning.
  • Audit commissioning and handover low voltage (LV) activities.
  • Participate when required in the testing and commissioning of low voltage (LV) Electrical Systems related to plant and wiring systems.
  • Review construction staging, ITCIP in consultation with delivery partners to ensure the provision of a safe and costeffective electrical infrastructure delivery.
  • Participate in the review of technical specifications, detailed design and protection definition briefs.

We are seeking interest from people who have:

  • High level of construction supervision, testing and commissioning of safety-critical low voltage (LV) electrical systems and equipment, including interface with other infrastructure disciplines and operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of the testing and commissioning of safetyrelated low voltage (LV) electrical systems operation.
  • High level of written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • High level of relationship management skills, including negotiation and coordination skills.
  • Electrical Mechanical Licence


Annual base salary starts at approximately $116k + Superannuation and access to QR's employee benefits such as free city train rail pass to/from work.
