HR and Payroll Coordinator

Permanent Full Time
**Monday - Friday

8.00am - 4.00pm


We are seeking the expertise of an energetic, customer focused Human Resources Generalist to fill this role within our team.

This role will work closely with the other HR Coordinator and assist with being the back-up Payroll Coordinator during our Payroll and Compliance Officer's leave.

Reporting to the HR Manager and the Operations Manager for Payroll responsibilities this role is dynamic and will assist with end-to-end recruitment administration including job advertisements, reference checking, inductions, Blue Card and Training Compliance records and reporting.


Skills and Abilities

  • Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • A professional, confident, and helpful approach
  • Strong ability in using Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel and MS Outlook in particular) is essential
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills and high level of accuracy and attention to detail including highlevel wordprocessing skills
  • Ability to complete detailed research
  • A willingness to be agile, embrace change and help other departments
  • Exceptional ethics, discretion and ability to communicate sensitively and confidentially with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Paid Blue Card or eligibility to obtain one prior to appointment
  • 3 years prior experience in a similar role is essential
  • Payroll knowledge and previous use of a HRMS would be an advantage
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources highly regarded, but not essential
  • Prior experience assisting with WorkCover claims, Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator qualification highly regarded
