Job Description

Nine Films and Television

Nine produces leading local shows including McLeod's Daughters, The Block, Married at First Sight and Underbelly. Such shows are commercialised as NFTV products eg. through merchandising, licencing and distribution deals.

Our finance team is responsible for the reporting of Nine produced programs distributed locally and internationally. This involves financial reporting on a monthly basis (reconciliations, forecasting, budgeting and cashflow) and day to day management of revenue and expenses (e.g. royalty reporting, invoicing and payment of producer shares).

Reporting to the Finance Manager , you will be responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure financial management of various NFTV Programs and Departments. This includes assisting with Month end reporting, Budgets & forecasting, and Cashflow reporting.

Monthly review of departmental revenue and expenses and analysis of variances to budget and forecast

Monthly revenue and expenditure full year forecasts and explanation of variances to budget, and forecast.

Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations

Preparation and presentation of monthly and full year forecast results to key users of financial information

Monthly cashflow reporting

Preparation of annual departmental budgets including Revenue and distribution expenses.

Preparation of year end reporting and meeting audit requirements

Day-to day management of revenue and expenditure including invoicing and processing royalty payments

Preparation of royalty distribution statements for producer shares and processing invoices.

Preparation of quarterly ABS surveys

Preparation of ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by internal stakeholders.

Participates in and supports a team environment

Qualifications

Qualified Accountant (CA or CPA)

Proven financial experience

Strong Excel, reconciliation skills, analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to work to a deadline and the ability to prioritise and manage their time and time of others

Ability to communicate in a clear, timely and consistent manner

A personal high standard of quality to their work
