  • Package$ $39.57 per hour, plus superannuationColac Otway Shire Council is looking to appoint 12 Youth Engagement Project Officers on a Temporary Part-Time or Full-Time basis until 31 December 2024.
As the Youth Engagement Project Officer you will ensure that Council:

  • Supports young people to engage in Council activities and community life in order to bring about improved social and health outcomes.
  • Achieves an integrated approach to improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people in the Colac Otway Shire.
  • Plans and delivers activities, events and other community engagement activities that elevate the voices of young people with a focus on health and wellbeing areas identified by Council's Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan and the Victorian Health and Wellbeing Plan.
  • Develops initiatives and processes that support young people to be involved in decision making and making connections in their community.
  • Supports the evaluation of health and wellbeing initiatives, including enhancements of local data collection processes through Deakin University.
  • Works closely with other providers of youthrelated services in the shire to ensure a connected and integrated approach to service delivery.
