About the facility

Food Services operates across University Hospital Geelong and the Grace Mckellar Centre.

Food services currently operates a cafeteria and 2 smaller kiosk cafes at University Hospital Geelong, and a medium sized café at Grace McKellar.

We offer food and beverages to staff, patients and visitors making for an interesting conversation with every customer interaction.

About the role

You will provide exceptional customer service in a professional and efficient manner whilst working in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment and adhering to Barwon Health's Food Safety Plan.

The following are not essential but will be highly regarded:

Previous experience in providing exceptional customer service
Previous café and/or barista experience
Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team
An interest in the preparation and service of an array of food

About the culture
Barwon Health's Food Service team is a part of the larger Environmental Department. Our workforce is one of the largest outside of the medical workforce and nursing.

Working over 2 sites, University Hospital and the McKellar Centre, our Food services provide over 3000 meals per day to residents/clients/patients seven days a week.

Our Cafeteria service to staff and visitors is open seven days a week and requires a variety of duties by our large team.

We are very much a team that continually help each other.
