8 South is a leading tertiary referral surgical ward specialising in complex Colorectal, Upper GI and Urology specialities.


Current positions available:


  • Experienced RN's Interested in a specialist surgical career path in any of our specialties including
  • Upper GI, Colorectal, and Urology
  • Minimum 4 years post registration experience in surgical nursing.
  • Permanent Rotating Roster 12hour shifts
  • Permanent night duty available 12hour shifts
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • At least 4 years of postgraduate experience within an acute hospital care setting
  • An interest in supporting patients during acute oncological treatment
  • Ability and commitment to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • A passion to make a difference in the care of patients and their extended families
  • Ability to successfully work with a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster with oncall duties
