About you
As our,

_State Building Manager_, your role reports to the National Building Manager and will work closely with external parties, internal stakeholders, National and local faculty managers and the broader Property Services and Procurement team to drive building maintenance and management to ensure compliance standards are met


You possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Property Management, or other relevant field.
  • Experience implementing and operating Maintenance programs for properties.
  • Experience with Emergency Control Operations and working with other stakeholders to integrate across the properties aligned to the organisational OHS, people, and property strategies
  • Strong project management skills with experience running commercial fit out projects and repair activities.
  • Experience managing to building codes and government/council requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with cotenants and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills at all levels of an organisation.
  • Microsoft Project and ability to prioritise work and to meet deadlines
  • Experience in $510M refurbishment and other building improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated change management and risk management experience

What you're here to do

  • Implement Property strategy across your respective portfolio ensuing alignment and communication with other State Building Managers and Faculty Managers.
  • Coordination of key portfolio property projects
  • Management of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using RACGP agreed system.
  • Compliance management system is kept up to date and properties within portfolio are compliant with legislation and other codes of practise as required.
  • Implement and manage agreed ways of working for maintenance call out coverage across each territory to meet unscheduled maintenance and emergency requirements
  • Planning and coordination of trades with risk management, scheduling and reporting on financials as required.
  • Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders with open and constructive communication throughout.
  • Ensure organisational policies, procedures and practices are implemented, complied with and are relevant particularly in relation to OH&S/WHS requirements and legislation.
  • Coordinate the logistics of staff working in conjunction with People related departments moves whilst building work is undertaken.
  • Support delivery and reporting of property services operational budgets and project capital budgets as required.
  • Supervision and mentoring of team members as required.
  • Ensure Environmental and Work Health and Safety Responsibilities continue to be met in line with internal organisation and external market changes.
