About the role


The primary role of the employment consultant is to work closely with each participant utilising a place based, strengths-based approach to caseload management and support them to achieve their identified goals.

The employment consultant will be the first point of contact for all participants engaging in an ALPA Community Development Program service and will provide a high level of individualised service to each participant.


This position is based in a remote community in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a tailored service to each CDP participant addressing each of their barriers individually
  • Work with each participant in a culturally appropriate manner utilising a strengthsbased model that helps them to achieve their goals
  • Ensure that all program guidelines are met relating to service delivery
  • Ensure that key performance measures are addressed

Skills and Experience

  • Qualification in Community Services or similar is highly regarded
  • Experience working in Employment Services
  • Proven experience in working to KPI's
  • Knowledge of the current CDP contract
  • Strong interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to work culturally appropriately with local staff
