Description:

Osborne Richardson, a leading Public Sector specialist, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Internal Auditor on behalf of our local government client in Brisbane's north.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of the Council's internal control environment.

Role Overview:

As a Principal Internal Auditor, you will report directly to the Internal Audit Manager, playing a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of Internal Audit objectives.

This position involves providing independent, objective assurance, and advisory services to add value and strengthen the Council's internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting complex audits and reviews
Offering valueadded advice in areas of governance, internal controls, and risk management
Supporting the achievement of Internal Audit objectives
Enhancing the Council's internal control environment

Qualifications and Experience:

Substantial knowledge and experience in conducting complex audits
Proven track record in providing valueadded advice related to governance, internal controls, and risk management
Previous experience in the Public Sector is highly desirable
