Carey operates on two campuses with a Church, College, Jump Early Development Services and Timber Cafe operating on each.

Carey has also developed the Carey Right Track Foundation, Avenir Leadership Institute and Carey Hope, each of which serve both on and well beyond our campuses.

Our colleges serve the educational needs of over 2000 students across two campuses (Harrisdale and Forrestdale).

The Forrestdale Campus currently offers K-11, becoming a Kindergarten to Year 12 school by 2024.

Description:

We are seeking an Education Assistant who is experienced in learning diversity and support.

Applicants will need to demonstrate evidence of working with students at educational risk, specifically, Literacy intervention in small groups and one-to-one.

By way of summary the Education Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Teacher in a range of general and classroom duties broadly summarised as follows:
assist in the delivery of planned education programs.
Preparation and maintenance of the classroom environment.
Preparation and maintenance of classroom resources.
Maintenance of outdoor environments.

Skills and Experiences:

What we are looking for:

A Cert III or IV in Education Support or equivalent.
Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the College.
Demonstrated sensitivity and care to students' needs and capabilities.
Ability to promote an environment of dynamic, active and genuine learning.
Highly discreet with a mature understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships with staff, students, parents, general public and professional networks.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and independently.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
A commitment to model and promote the College's Vision, Mission and Values at all times.
National Police Clearance Check (dated within last 6 months).
Current Working with Children Check.
