About the role.**:

As the IOT Lead, you will be responsible for evolving the provision and use of IoT data and automation to meet the significant needs.

You will work across the organisation drive the increased usage of IoT data and automation.

There is significant scope for the right individual to drive an increase in the use of IoT for automated sensing.

This includes the use of sensors, telemetry, cameras, video, etc.

You will be part of the Data and Insights section, along with the Data Engineering, Data Integration, Data Science and Open Data teams.

Key responsibilities.**:

Collaborating to create and maintain an active pipeline of IoT projects
Facilitate a quarterly prioritisation process to qualify and prioritise business ideas and requests for IoT projects
Work collaboratively with teams across Information Services branch to deliver the high priority IoT projects utilising standardised designs and approaches.
Work to ensure you are their first call for all their IoT needs
Provide a single point of technical knowledge for all things IoT
Other Data and Analytics work as required

Highly desirable.**:

Demonstrated experience in an analytics or Internet of Things leadership role for 3+ years
Demonstrated collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders to coordinate and deliver IoT capabilities.
Advanced technical capability across the environment, including a solid breadth of knowledge of edge devices and IoT protocols (MQTT, AMQP etc)
Strong people management and client relationship management skills
Advanced knowledge in automated sensing and the use of AI to enable this
Bachelor's Degree in in Computer Science, Math or Electrical Engineering or another related field is preferred
