Description
Key tasks and responsibilities include,

  • Lift mechanics assemble, install, adjust, maintain and repair electric and hydraulic freight and passenger lifts and escalators.
  • Use hand and power tools, testing devices, welders, workshop equipment such as drill press, cutting equipment and assembly equipment.
  • Locate malfunctions in brakes, motors, machines and moving automated equipment.
  • Identify and order parts for required jobs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of system components, frameworks, and foundations, and to select installation equipment.
  • Inspect door installations and alignments, clearances of cars and hoist ways, platforms and stairway lifts to ensure that equipment will operate properly.
  • Adjust safety controls, counterweights, door mechanisms, and components such as valves, ratchets, seals, and brake linings.

  • Disassemble defective units, repair or replace parts such as locks, gears and cables.
  • Able to work at heights and in confined space
  • Participate in additional training to keep skills uptodate.
  • Keep workshop/vehicle/sites organised, clean, functional and safe.

Salary:
$80, $90,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime
pay
