    Job description:
  • The Medical Oncology position would suit trainees in palliative medicine, general medicine, also meeting accredited core training in Medical Oncology.
The appointee would be working alongside another accredited advanced trainee in Medical Oncology and a non-accredited registrar.


Salary
Medical Practitioner Level $97,946 - $138,593 per annum, pro rata + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- _Salary range is in accordance with _Salaried Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 201
  • Please note that _Salaried Medical Practitioners Agreement _is currently under negotiation.

Duties


The Registrar is responsible for the day to day management of public inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital and provides on call cover for the Medical Oncology unit as well as infrequent after-hours emergency cover at the hospital.


Essential Requirements

  • General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).


The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‐employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.


The following checks are to be conducted:

Conviction checks in the following areas:
a) Crimes of Violence

c) Serious Drug Offences

d) Crimes involving dishonesty
