    We are now looking for a Configuration Manager/Controller to join our business in Melbourne, Victoria

    The Configuration Manager/Controller position is responsible for configuration management activities of the IFV Materiel System, including the Mission and Training Systems.

    As a Configuration Manager/Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing of Configuration Management CDRL documents including CMP, CSAR, and BSC.
  • Preparing and participating in Configuration Management meetings and workshops as required.
  • Preparing and participating in contracted Mandated System Reviews (MSRs) as required
  • Assuring compliance to configuration management policies and maintain robust materiel system configuration baselines
  • Managing the progression of engineering changes within Land domain's configuration management tool.
  • Supporting the development and updating to internal management plans including the Configuration Management Plan.

    • To be successful for the role of Configuration Manager/Controller you will need:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in executing tasks within a Configuration Management framework.
  • Experience in Configuration Management processes and Compliance with L400 Program Legal & Probity requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to learn to use Configuration Management tools.
  • Experience in developing and reviewing Configuration Management artefacts and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confidence and self-motivation.

    • Whilst not essential, experience in the following is desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience in Defence Projects, the Defence Capability Life Cycle, and Defence Configuration Management process
  • Knowledge and experience in ASDEFCON contract suite, and proficiency in reviewing Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) documentation
  • Experience with using Configuration Management Tool – Land (CMT-L)

    • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance. Current security clearance is preferred.
