The Customer Marketplace portfolio also owns our core 'Customer Relationship Platform' which includes our CRM (Salesforce), together with a range of other key data and marketing capabilities which help us understand who our customers are, their needs and how REA can best service them.

What the role is all about- Team: Building a large, high performing engineering team. Team size will vary over time; currently it is composed of 7 squads with approximately 65+ people. Strategy: Ensuring there are long range technology plans in place, driven and aligned with company strategy. Specifically, transformational change is required in several system domains. Engineering practice: You will build an effective engineering team practice. This includes the systems operations and systems health of your portfolio. You will put in place the processes for sustainable operations, meeting service level objectives. Market Outcomes: Our Services portfolio of products operates in a highly competitive market and delivering products to market with a sense of urgency is critical to success. System of work: Alongside peers, you will establish org structures & operating rhythms that deliver a common vision for our strategic objectives and effective processes for day-to-day operations Major program delivery: Initiating, executing and guiding major projects to achieve great outcomes. Reporting & Stakeholders: Engaging senior stakeholders through insightful reporting of operations, programs, risks and outcomes. Risk: Keeping our customer information safe and our services available and compliant is a key priority. This role will manage portfolio risk in collaboration with REA's risk team. Managing investment: You are accountable for a large financial investment in your portfolio; you will manage costs and as appropriate make business cases to meet business objectives. Culture: You will create a culture of engagement, accountability, learning and development. Product Knowledge: The portfolio of products is complex; you will develop your own and your team's understanding of these products and our product strategy. Tech community: You and your team's contribution to the tech community beyond your immediate portfolio.
Who we're looking for- Experience leading large high performing engineering teams (commensurate with the scope of this role) Ability to engage deeply with technologists; potentially you have a technical background. Experience leading complex programs of work and managing cross team dependencies at scale Commercial acumen Experience engaging with senior stakeholders Experience in long range planning or strategy development for your domain Experience with CRM is desirableThe REA experience
