About the role:


The principle accountability of this role is to successfully manage the annual gas meter program of work, which includes Meter Delivery, Meter Date Loggers (MDL) - Corrective & Construction, Aged Gas and Hot Water Meter Programs.

To ensure this program is planned, resourced and delivered in line with agreed unit rates and volumes.

To work with stakeholders and customers internal and external to the business ensuring the highest standards are maintained for customer satisfaction, and asset integrity.

This role will provide strategic direction and development for all team members including internal and externally contracted field teams to meet current and future growth requirements and to facilitate best of business outcomes

This role would suit someone with one or multiple of the following project or program management experience, contractor management, multi team people management and cost control management


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Lead a team of 6 direct reports and >50(external and external) indirect providing direction, coaching and support to facilitate delivery of quality outcomes in the achievement of client and Zinfra objectives
  • Drive a strong safety & quality culture
  • Contribute to the customer experience and ensure regulatory compliance is prioritised
  • Ensure team contribute to Zinfra's KPI's & consistently achieve productivity and efficiency targets
  • Analyse & Assess the end to end delivery process and work with stakeholders to further refine and improve the process
  • Effectively engage and communicate with community & stakeholders to understand potential impacts to network
  • Drive high employee engagement through effective leadership

About you:


  • Proven experience within a leadership role with people management (ideally within the utilities industry) and people development
  • Tertiary qualifications or experience in finance, engineering, project management, management or equivalent
  • Experience in Project financials is essential for this role
  • Experience in managing and delivering a program of work for an external client
  • Experienced in Contract Management and the ability to understand commercial project related matters and its impact.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and prioritise workloads
  • Exposure to working within a project environment and a full understanding of the constraints and challenges that may arise in a project environment
  • Understanding of Gas Distribution Network assets
  • Experience working with multiple clients
