The Role

Transition Coaching and Support has an opportunity for a high performing Administration Officer at the APS 4 level based in Canberra.

Administration Officers undertake the coordination and delivery of administrative enabling support functions in support of transitioning ADF members for the Directorate.


They will be responsible for providing high-level business administrative services including understanding, responding to and resolving moderately complex enquiries whilst seeking advice on more complex issues.

The Administration Officer will be a strong team player with demonstrated capabilities to plan, coordinate, manage and perform accurate data entry, information and records management.


High level of attention to detail, strong systems and process adaptability is vital whilst contributing to continuous improvement activities in support of efficiency across wider business procedures.

This position reports to the Transition Coaching and Support Seminar Team Lead.

A merit pool will be established to support future Administration vacancies expected across the Directorate.


About our Team
The Joint Transition Authority - Transition Coaching and Support Directorate delivers Defence's ADF Transition programs. These programs are designed to support members and their families plan for civilian life. Participation in the transition process is mandatory for all ADF members regardless of their reason for leaving.


The Defence Force Transition Program provides access to specialist advice, paid leave and training to support members and their families in their transition to civilian life.

Our enabling support teams support access to and awareness of these needs based programs.


This vacant position is within the Seminar Team, which is responsible for the administration, coordination and delivery of the annual program of ADF Member and Family Transition Seminars and Forums nationally.
