THE ROLE
We seek a talented and driven individual from our Sydney office to manage Matific's global finance function. If you are passionate about finance, operations, data, and technology, this is your perfect role


As the Finance lead at Matific, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our operations and financial processes.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, marketing and executive leadership, to support and optimise our business operations.


Your responsibilities will include:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • Overseeing daytoday financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Managing and analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective financial controls and processes.
  • Collaborating with operations teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conducting financial analysis to support strategic decisionmaking and business planning.
  • Supporting the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assisting and often owning ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • CA, CPA or CFA
  • Previous experience in finance or operations roles, preferably in a technology or startup environment.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to make datadriven recommendations.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, ERP systems)
