This state government department plays a crucial role in the development and execution of government-wide procurement policies. They also offer procurement services to the ACT and community.

Due to a shift within the team, this respected Government organisation have an immediate need for a Associate Director, Procurement to deliver procurement advisory services.

The Job
Reporting into the Director, Procurement in this procurement focused role, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Lead to enhance team capability and provide expert procurement guidance to stakeholder.
Ensure prompt, accurate responses and proactive problemsolving.
Provide expert advice on complex procurement matters.
Provide quality assurance on work outputs and ensure compliance with procurement principles.
Develop efficient business processes and procedures to ensure efficient functioning and alignment with framework.
Foster relationships with key stakeholders including but not limited to industry bodies, government officials and relevant territory agencies.

You
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:

3+ years of experience in a government procurement or related field, preferably across the lifecycle of a procurement at a Senior level
Knowledge of the ACT Government procurement framework
Relevant tertiary qualifications would be highly desired, for example, Certificate IV in Government (Procurement & Contracting) or an Advanced Diploma of Government (Procurement & Contracting).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
