About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
IT Manager for a permanent opportunity with QLD Government.


In this challenging role, you'll lead a small team (8) responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of ICT services.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Stay updated on the ICT Service catalogue delivered by the Digital Services Branch.
  • Oversee the asset creation, recovery, and writeoff processes.
  • Foster a culture of continual service improvement by developing, reviewing, and standardizing work practices/processes.
  • Develop and implement plans, strategies, policies, and procedures for the provision of ICT services to meet customer needs.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate their ICT requests.
  • Manage the annual Team's budget, ensuring services are delivered within the overall budget, including operating expenses, revenue, and capital outlays.
  • Manage resourcing levels to meet planned shortterm workloads associated with enterprise projects and work requests.
  • Provide highlevel and accurate advice to the Director regarding the strategic resources capacity and capability requirements of the Digital Partnership Team.

Skills required:


  • Prior experience in a highlevel management role with leadership responsibilities in an ICT environment within a large, complex service delivery organization.
  • Extensive experience in managing the delivery of ICT services and support.
  • Ability to develop and implement plans, strategies, policies, and procedures for the provision of ICT services that meet customer needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and consultation skills.
  • Motivation to consistently work in alignment with Department of Health values.
