About the Role:


Reporting to the Manager Governance and Technical Stewardship, this role will provide leadership and support to a team of high-performing technical engineers.

Acting as a conduit across the broader Nickel West group, you will utilise your ability to enable and facilitate your team to deliver successful outcomes.


_This is a Perth based position offering exceptional levels of flexibility._

In this role you will:

  • Manage a team of engineers across all disciplines to provide technical support to the Nickel West
  • Manage updates to Engineering and Technical Standards
  • Manage and inform project Basis of Design.
  • Interface across Project, Maintenance, Operational and Engineering teams
  • Champion engineering effectiveness within Nickel West
  • Ensure cohesive interface with Engineering service providers
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the wider Minerals Australia Projects (lessons learnt, technical support and assistance, training, mentoring etc)

About You:


  • Degree qualified with a solid understanding of engineering standards and requirements
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of technical and project engineering
  • Mining industry, hydrocarbon, heavy industry, construction, processing or relevant projects exposure is advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical teams that are supported by deep foundational leadership
  • High level communication and influencing skills, including the ability to produce quality, concise reports and presentations to senior executives
  • Demonstrated technical and commercial acumen
  • Highly influential with strong engagement skills to generate ideas and lateral solutions
  • Ability to lead a team of project professionals to deliver high quality, relevant outcomes
  • Leading by example; hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in Safety Leadership
