Engage Abilities is a Registered Service Provider of the NDIS and provides services to the NSW Department of Communities & Justice through their Casework Support Scheme.

Our team of highly experienced staff aims to provide our participants with quality services that reflect their needs and promote their dignity, wellbeing, abilities and independence.

We are looking to appoint
1 Team Leader (permanent full-time) to join our NDIS Services Team. Experienced Disability support workers are welcome to apply


ABOUT THE ROLE
The Team Leader plays a crucial role in the development and the delivery of safe, effective, quality services to support our participants


The role consists of:

  • Leading a team of Support Workers and ensuring they understand, embrace, and work toward achieving Engage Abilities' missions and values.
  • Rostering Support Workers according to the participants' goals. The role requires the Team Leader to participate in the rotating weekend On-Call roster and to cover shifts when necessary.
  • Ensuring Support Workers are reporting accurate Case Notes, investigating and providing feedback when necessary. The Team Leader plays a vital role in supporting our Support Workers.
  • Engaging regularly with participants, their families, and all other stakeholders involved in the delivery of supports for the participant, to ensure smooth daytoday operations and service delivery.
  • Managing risks including compliance with relevant policies, NDIS legislative requirements, Work Health and Safety, and financial risks.
  • Managing the participants' budget during their annual NDIS plan to ensure continuity of supports over the year and maintaining accurate participant records.
Our Team Leaders work closely with each other and report to the Services Team Manager. For the first month you will benefit from our Induction and orientation program. Engage Abilities provides follow-up training sessions, supervision and support to all our staff.

ABOUT YOU

  • You embrace Engage Abilities' values and missions and are committed to achieving excellence in the community service sector.
  • You have a sound knowledge of NDIS legislative requirements gained from at least 2 years' experience supporting a range of people with a disability and complex needs.
  • You have experience in a Leadership role that enables you to mentor a team of Support Workers.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills to establish and nurture positive relationships with different stakeholders (participants, families, Support Workers and all others involved in participant supports).
  • You have a pragmatic approach to conflict resolution, problem solving, decision making and can manage balancing priorities.
  • You are able to participate in the rotating weekend On-Call roster and cover shifts when necessary.

Please note that all our prospective employees are required to undergo a screening process including reference checks and a Police Check, and are also required to have obtained their First Aid/CPR certificate, WWCC, NDIS Worker Check and first COVID-19 vaccination injection._


Salary:
$75, $78,000.00 per year
