As the Principal Program Advisor you will provide specialist high level advice, reporting and administrative support to the development, monitoring and administration of the Australian Government's contribution to the QTRIP.

The role is also responsible for developing and implementing operational policies and governance processes to support the management and control of QTRIP funding, as well as managing and administering assigned Australian Government or State Government Programs.

The role will include but is not limited to;

  • Monitor and report monthly on the physical and financial progress of the Infrastructure Investment Program to ensure delivery within allocation and in line with relevant state and federal government requirements and in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and governance frameworks.
  • In conjunction with management, constructively challenge, scrutinise and assess overall progress of the program through reporting of program and project risks, issues, achievements, benefits, outputs and outcomes.
  • Review scoping, development and/or delivery phase Project Proposal Reports and other departmental submissions for Australian Government funding approval and submit to Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts (DITRDCA).
  • Review and assess Infrastructure Investment Program projects, program variations and contracts to ensure objectives of legislative and administrative requirements are met.
  • Contribute to strategic transport projects across the state, ensuring that all planning is undertaken in a multimodal, integrated, affordable and value for money context.
  • Provide input to the annual QTRIP publication, with respect to assigned investment programs and projects.
  • Manage the preparation of reports, submissions, briefing papers, ministerial correspondence and policy and research papers as required.

  • Although not mandatory, knowledge and experience in program management reporting, analysis and use of project and program systems such as Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management (OPPM), Oracle Primavera Unifier and Excel.
