Purpose
Reporting to the_ _Team Leader Positive Ageing and Inclusion this position has a significant focus on
supporting key business and program initiatives such as The Wellbeing and Resilience Program,
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Community Passenger Networks (CPN), South
Australian Home and Community Care (SA HACC) and performance analysis and reporting_.The Community Engagement Coordinator role encompasses leadership, planning and management of the

daily operations of the Positive Ageing and Inclusion Programmes and Projects, responsibilities include

providing support and direction to staff, embedding a wellness focus in service delivery and monitoring of

quality principles and processes in accordance with the Programme Standards and Guidelines.

The primary objective of this position is to work closely with key target client groups to embed wellbeing,

promote independence and lifestyle choice, participate in the Wellbeing and Resilience program and

provide the team of Home Support and Home Maintenance Officers with daily operational support. This

position will work with clients to identify their goals and strengths, monitor and review client service plans,

implement effective strategies to promote independence, inclusion and participation. Collaborate and

engage key stakeholders, relevant local community groups, and internal departments to achieve integrated

and flexible services across the region with a commitment to work towards The City of Marion's long term

community vision.

Strong communication skills and ability to maintain solid relationships with internal and external

stakeholders will be vital to this role.

As a leader of the organisation you will have the customer, community and safety at the forefront of all you

do, to provide the highest level of service both externally and internally.


Key Outcomes

  • Implement strategic operations of the Commonwealth Home Support Programme.
  • Foster and lead a team culture focused on innovation and achievement in line with The City of Marion
Strategic Plan and support, develop and empower staff to achieve and develop within their roles.

  • Promote and deliver strong customer service to clients and internal/external departments.
  • Work in partnership with clients in planning support delivery.
  • Support client choice and decision making.
  • Be an innovative and dynamic leader.
  • Liaise and maintain strong relationships, and influence policy development and services with strategic
partners and external organisations.

  • Undertake human resource activities associated with workforce planning, recruitment, learning and
development and individual performance development reviews with team members.

  • Provide effective coaching, mentoring and support to develop team members.
  • Prepare and collate service and wellness data to report to the funding body.
  • Actively seek new opportunities for grants and possible tenders.

Inclusion services.

  • Ensure service delivery are within requirements and meet work area plans.
