Description
Supervise, lead and delivery the survey scopes for McDermott's project.

Provide support for engineering, procurement and subcontracts required for the installation, including management of discrete packages and interface management of third parties.


  • Promote McDermott and project HSE and Quality policies.
  • Liaise with project team Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Engineering representatives.
  • Report to Project Installation Manager of scope progress, contingencies, scope slip/change, areas of focus and potential areas of concern in accordance with schedule and convergence planning set gates and impact on project risk profile and potential for optimization or degeneration.
  • Team leader and Subcontract Management of survey scope for all the offshore projects executed out of the Perth office, including procurement and development of procedures and related survey engineering.
  • Global support to Survey Specialists and the Global Survey Manager for projects executed from McDermotts other global offices.
  • Interfacing with McDermott lead designers, package lead and marine operations engineers.
Interfacing with Client for development of survey plans as required under project contract requirements

  • Lead and develop concept and detailed installation procedures for offshore operations including review of marine spreads and installation aids required for the scope.
  • Review and approval of all survey field reports and document deliverables as part of the Survey Subcontract Management.
  • Attend regular internal meetings and external / third party meetings as required.
  • Review and promote development of installation engineering improvements in close liaison with Operations and Field Engineers, to allow optimization of methods and technical details of the work scope.
  • Ensure TQA of all engineering deliverables is carried out in accordance with McDermott QA policies and procedures and that relevant, sufficiently qualified personnel are appointed to conduct the TQA.
  • Produce detailed CTR's for estimation of manhours and resources required for any changes arising in due course of the project.
  • Ensure that the amount of resources required to perform the work are identified and communicated to the Project Installation Manager and Marine Operations Manager.
  • Lead and provide technical support during fabrication, mobilisation and installation activities.
  • Lead and participate in installation Constructabilities, HAZID's and Risk Assessments.
  • Other assigned tasks.
