The Role:

Ventia in partnership with the Australian Defence Force are seeking a Project Supervisor to join our South Australian team. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and managing project related works for the Defence Base Services Contract.

The role will be based at the RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia. This role will require some travel within metro Adelaide and regional South Australia, to visit Defence sites.
The role is a permanent fulltime opportunity from Monday to Friday, prominently between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm, with some flexibility.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
Completing scoping, pricing and preparation of project proposals including technical or complex Alternative Proposals.
Completing scoping, pricing and preparation of project proposals relating to User Funded Trial Activities.
Coordinating the project scoping estimating effort, including undertaking some estimating tasks and coordinating the sourcing and evaluation of pricing data from subcontractors, suppliers and internal resources.
Project management of all approved projects, including subcontractor coordination and management.
Delivery of projects to scope, within allocated timeframes and budget.
Ensure project documentation is managed effectively and is retrievable on demand.
Ensure all relevant estate data is captured for each project and provided to Project Support Services in line with Defence and internal requirements.
Facilitate project close out, including hand over and archive of project documentation in accordance with management plan and Company guidelines.
Ensure internal systems accurately reflect practical completion times and trigger financial closure of Projects to support monthly billing and reporting requirements.

Skills and Competencies:

Comprehensive knowledge of cost planning and project management controls principles and practices. (Project Management or equivalent qualification. Highly regarded)
Trade background/qualification. (HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry. Highly regarded)
Excellent oral and written skills, with experience in preparing proposals. (Highly regarded)
High level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint, CAD, and SAP Project System.
Demonstrated management and organisational skills.
An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.

Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance.
