The Role
Excellent opportunity to join our Shadforth Business in the position of Risk Insurance Specialist.
The Risk Specialist will be measured on their ability to meet the state insurance budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with advice teams to assist in the preparation of risk insurance strategies for their clients
- Conduct regular training and coaching sessions with various advice teams to uplift capability and strategy knowledge
- Use Xplan to determine and analyse the most suitable solution for the client including comparison of existing providers, suitable alternative and product replacement advice
- Liaise with both underwriting (UW) and the client to negotiate the best outcomes for our clients in the event of substandard terms i.e. exclusion or loading
- Work with the PWA and client in obtaining additional information that could lead to a better UW outcome
- Review advice with PWA in the event of revised terms to consider the appropriateness of the advice
- Work with the Head of State(s) and Private Wealth Adviser to identify new business opportunities, strategies to improve in force retention and growth
- Drive marketing campaigns
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- High level of technical knowledge in personal and business risk
- Intermediate level knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Xplan, especially Risk Researcher module
- Ability to build relationships at all levels and gain trust quickly
- Solid influencing skills with a real passion for risk and business development
- Post graduate financial planning qualifications
