As Executive Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, executive support to the Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor (ADVC) - Research & Innovation Capability, the Associate Director, Research & Innovation Capability and the Research & Innovation Capability team.
Key to success in the role is working effectively with multiple stakeholders, team members and partners at various levels of the organisation and across the Research and Innovation and other Portfolios, acting as the first point of contact for the ADVC, Research & Innovation Capability.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior administrative/operations support role in the education sector (advantageous) with the ability to work proactively and autonomously
- Highly developed organisational, planning and project management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with tight timelines
- Demonstrated experience in providing administrative and logístical support in the organisation and delivery of a range of events
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a service excellence mindset, including the ability to draft correspondence of a very high standard to internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently, show initiative, engage with new ways of thinking and working, exercise discretionary judgement and provide advice
- Proven ability to liaise constructively and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders on complex, sensitive and confidential issues, achieving goals and outcomes through collaboration, negotiation and influenceAbout the Portfolio
Part of the Research and Innovation Portfolio, Research & Innovation Capability (R&IC) builds strategic capability and capacity to drive research excellence and create impact from research.
- Development and deployment of interdisciplinary research and innovation capability through RMIT's eight Enabling Impact Platforms (EIPs), with an emphasis on deploying strategic capability for impact
- Designing, developing and delivering enterprise-wide programs that foster engagement and build researcher capability, with an increasing focus on growing impact literacy; and
- Strategic talent development and retention via coordination of RMIT's Vice-Chancellor's Research Fellowship Scheme and other enterprise researcher support programs.
