About the role:


As a People Partner, you will partner strategically with the Regional General Manager (RGM) and Area Managers (AMs) to support on all People & Culture matters and drive the national People & Culture agenda.

Working directly in the Field Operations Team you will always have a seat at the table and a genuine buy-in of the value and input you can offer with a people-first company culture.


  • Work in conjunction with the Regional General Managers (RGMs) and People & Culture Team to proactively identify people opportunities for the Region and respond to relevant people matters. While identifying future leaders / high potentials through talent management, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Positively contribute to the development of an engaged and aligned Nando's culture by rolemodelling our Values & Behaviours.
  • Embed a performance culture through coaching leaders to manage performance.
  • Partner with RGM & AM's to support with the delivery of engagement events.
  • Support recruitment priorities and strategy and actively drive recruitment activities for the region including group recruitment and supporting with Restaurant management recruitment.
  • Partner with RGMs and AMs to provide coaching and guidance on individual employee relations cases and performance management, ensuring that these are well managed in accordance with company policies, best practice and employment legislation.
  • Provide advice to RGMs & AMs to understand and interpret workplace policies, procedures and industrial instruments.

What you will bring:

  • Be passionate about a fair employee relations process living our values of ensuring we do everything we can to help Nandocas (team members) be successful within their roles.
  • Tertiary degree level qualification in Human Resources or related discipline (in progress or complete).
  • Proven experience in a HR generalist role and the ability to hit the ground running.
  • Broad knowledge and experience managing all elements of the employee lifecycle.
  • Ability to work autonomously with drive and initiative.
  • Ability to make decisions and provide clear and accurate advice based on company policies and knowledge of current legislation.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills with an ability to build rapport at all levels within the organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a strong ability to influence outcomes.
  • A strong team ethic and a willingness to learn.

This is a full-time permanent role, based in QLD.

Working visibly in restaurants alongside the field team around three days a week and work from home the remained of the time.

A car allowance is included in the package to support the onsite requirements, there will also be a travel component a few times a year.
