Job Description_**We have multiple Grant management EL1 and APS6 roles with a growing focus on building deep ongoing relationships with state, territory and local governments, as well as key industry and research stakeholders and partner agencies across the Australian Government.


_What will you do?_


You will be well organised and demonstrate the ability to deliver results in an environment characterised by tight timeframes and changing circumstances and priorities.

You also have excellent written, verbal and numeric skills, and well-developed stakeholder management skills.

Your role will require you to undertake some of the following tasks - depending on which team you work in:


  • Assessing and overseeing the delivery of grants to which Australian Government funding has been committed, including by:
  • assessing project proposals
- managing approvals, agreements/contracts and projects variations
- participating in project governance, and
- reviewing communications products.
- establishing and providing ongoing management of financial allocations
- managing core administrative functions, such as the preparation of ministerial correspondence, briefs, implementation advice and media releases, with respect to projects and policy;

  • Building strong and constructive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders,

_Who are we looking for? _


We are looking for a strong leader and manager, preferably with program or grant management expertise or similar transferable skills, who thrives working in a fast-paced, high-pressure small team environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:


  • Commitment to collaboration and positive engagement with multiple stakeholders
  • Lead and performance manage a small team, using initiative and judgement to achieve outcomes
  • Maintaining constructive working relationships with stakeholders including the ability to negotiate successful outcomes
  • Experience with the management, assessment and delivery of grant programs is highly desirable
