Description

We are looking for a Technical Superintendent to work in an international, challenging and changeable environment, providing best support our client, who operates a modern fleet of accommodation and construction support vessels for the oil and gas industry all over the world.

The position as Technical Superintendent will work with at least one vessel in operation and potentially participate in fleet wide projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daytoday technical operation for the assigned vessel
  • Ensure the vessels and projects safely and maintenance is performed according to maintenance systems and company procedures
  • Responsible for technical status and technical compliance, insurance, warranty claims and provide technical support to the vessel
  • Responsible for the subcontractor relationship
  • Responsible for spares, material purchases and overall RM budget
  • Maintain contact with Chief Engineers, Masters and other applicable crew members
  • Conduct ship visits to check technical standard and discuss technical issues that may arise
  • Responsible for planning, execution and follow up of overhauls and repairs
  • Ensure the vessel fulfils all statutory, class, client and company requirements with regards to technical standard of the vessel and its equipment and ensure trading certificates are valid
Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc / Marine Engineering or equivalent university degree
  • Proven Project Management skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point.
  • Experience from the marine and/or offshore industry preferred
  • 5 years previous experience in a similar leading position in ship system operation and maintenance
  • Highly organised, solutionoriented, great ambition to add professional value to the business
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fastmoving environment
  • Based in Perth, Western Australia
Business travels required on regular basis as instructed.
