Are you interested in studying electronics engineering and in a career servicing the latest biomedical technology? Do you want to become a specialist service technician in the healthcare industry?

U-Tech Medical is a well-established biomedical equipment service company, with service branches in NSW, VIC, and QLD. We are an ISO 9001 quality accredited company providing repairs and maintenance to an exclusive range of medical and dental equipment.


We have a position currently available in our Seven Hills NSW office, with the view to completing in-house training and technical qualifications at NSW TAFE.


This is a trainee role and will suit a school leaver that wishes to study part-time while pursuing a career as a biomedical service technician.


  • An eagerness to study while working.
  • A strong 'can do' attitude and ability to work in a team.
  • Good communication skills, written & oral.
  • A current drivers' licence.
  • An interest in learning about medical equipment servicing
  • An interest in attending TAFE, (1 day per week, while working) or have already started studying, or just completed any of the following courses:
  • _Certificate III in Electronics and Communications_
- _Certificate IV in Industrial Electronics and Control_
- _Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering_
- _Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technolog_y


Duties include;

  • Learning how to complete functional performance and safety testing on Medical Devices.
  • Assist senior technicians with the preparation, testing, repairs, and documentation of medical equipment repairs.
  • Assist field service technicians with compliance testing.
  • Learn about a variety of medical devices and their clinical benefits.
  • Learn how to professionally communicate with customers and suppliers.
  • Learn about quality systems, workflows, and customer service.
You must have a strong level interest in electronics engineering with good verbal and written communications skills. You must be willing to learn and further your education and have a positive team member approach.

After a qualifying period, your traineeship will be formalised, and you will be expected attend TAFE and complete an Electronics and Communications Certificate, or Associate Diploma in Electronics.
