We are seeking experienced Riggers for ongoing projects at Potts Point, Sydney.

The work will involve the safe and efficient lifting of heavy mechanical parts and structural components for drydock and maritime maintenance projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Rigging mechanical parts and materials for safe and efficient lifting and movement
  • Coordinate with other workers to ensure that lifting and movement activities are conducted safely and timely
  • Communicate with crane operators and other workers to ensure equipment and materials are moved to the designated location
  • Inspecting rigging equipment and ensuring the appropriate rigging technique is applied before lifting and movement activities begin

Requirements:


  • Rigger Licence
  • Basic, Intermediate or Advanced
  • Construction Induction Card
  • Prior experience supporting Mechanical related installation or shutdown projects or;
  • Heavy engineering / industrial workrelated experience
  • Experience setting up and utilise chain block slinging is essential

Desirables:


  • Rigging VOC
  • Confined Space ticket
  • Working at height ticket
The applicant will be required to undergo a National Police Check for security clearance purposes.
