Camden Haven High School with an enrolment of 1172 students, including 80 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, is an integrated face to face and distance education campus, where teaching staff deliver lessons in both modes.

Specific Selection CriteriaApplicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, experience and expertise to teach Years 7-12 English, and the capacity to teach Extension 1 and Extension 2 English;proven ability to lead change and implement new English syllabuses;proven ability to lead and inspire staff in explicit teaching strategies to improve student achievement in literacy, with a focus on writing and reading;highly developed leadership skills with the ability to strengthen and build capacity in a diverse faculty, in the integration of technology as an effective teaching and learning platform; demonstrated commitment to work as an effective member of the school executive team in the delivery of the school's strategic directions for whole school improvement.General Selection Criteria1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policiesConditions
