Payroll Team Leader

12 month FTC
WFH Flexibility

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to take a step into a leadership role within a large payroll group.

Along with assisting the every day payroll processing, this role will be heavily based around reconciling and simplifying the Payroll Tax, and mentoring/developing the rest of the payroll team, and be across multiple EBA's/Awards.

This role will be an initial 12 month FTC, with the opportunity to go permanent.

The responsibilities:

Reporting into the National Head of Payroll, the main responsibilities include:

Monthly Payroll Tax lodgement & reconciliation
Monthly Superannuation payments
Assisting with Single Touch Payroll file uploads each pay run
Managing Centrelink Paid Parental Leave payments
Maintaining & monitoring over payment register
Interpreting a number of EBAs/Awards
Assisting with reconciling wages clearing accounts
Day to day checking of payroll officer's work and assisting them with general payroll question.

The successful applicant will have:

A deep understanding of Payroll Legislation & Tax
Experience using Ichris or Chris 21 is a must
Ideally have experience leading & developing a payroll team
Experience with payroll tax
Excellent communications skills
Be able to work in large, team environments
Great leadership skills
