Payroll Team Leader- 12 month FTC

About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to take a step into a leadership role within a large payroll group.
Along with assisting the every day payroll processing, this role will be heavily based around reconciling and simplifying the Payroll Tax, and mentoring/developing the rest of the payroll team, and be across multiple EBA's/Awards.
This role will be an initial 12 month FTC, with the opportunity to go permanent.The responsibilities:
Reporting into the National Head of Payroll, the main responsibilities include:
- Monthly Payroll Tax lodgement & reconciliation
- Monthly Superannuation payments
- Assisting with Single Touch Payroll file uploads each pay run
- Managing Centrelink Paid Parental Leave payments
- Maintaining & monitoring over payment register
- Interpreting a number of EBAs/Awards
- Assisting with reconciling wages clearing accounts
- Day to day checking of payroll officer's work and assisting them with general payroll question.
The successful applicant will have:
- A deep understanding of Payroll Legislation & Tax
- Experience using Ichris or Chris 21 is a must
- Ideally have experience leading & developing a payroll team
- Experience with payroll tax
- Excellent communications skills
- Be able to work in large, team environments
- Great leadership skills
