YOUR ROLE

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for driving operational excellence? Join our team as the National 3PL Operations Manager for our new customer in the HVAC industry.

The role is flexibly based from either Eastern Creek NSW (moving to Kemps Creek in the medium team) or Berrinba QLD.

In this critical role, you will provide the direction and inspiration necessary to implement, direct, grow and sustain this national customer account.

You'll indirectly manage state-based operational teams assigned to this customer contract, ensuring excellent customer service, accurate inventory, and high standards in safety, quality and continuous improvement.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

  • Collaborate with local warehousing teams to plan resource levels, define activities, and scope processes while upholding quality standards to ensure a successful operation in line with site and customer requirements
  • Oversee all operational activities within the agreed scope of services, driving productivity, efficiency, and safety while achieving operational KPIs. Regularly review performance, generate weekly/monthly reports, and implement action plans based on audits
  • Act as the focal point for supervising exceptions, implementing practical solutions, and ensuring longterm adherence to service standards
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and handle all necessary paperwork to meet customer requirements. Coordinate cycle counts, stocktakes, and promptly address any customer issues, ensuring inventory accuracy is consistently maintained nationally
  • Maintain a firm grip on the contract P&L, identifying cost optimisation opportunities, and educating team members on driving cost efficiencies. Conduct regular P&L reviews in conjunction with site managers
  • Demonstrate proactive safety leadership by promptly addressing incidents/investigations, conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with HSE requirements
  • Embrace and promote a LEAN operating culture, and lead initiatives with local teams to enhance operational efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Provide strong leadership to operational teams by actively engaging at sites, offering support, maintaining consistent and clear communication, and setting highperformance standards.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You should also have:

  • Proven success in developing, coaching and engaging operational teams
  • Good commercial and financial acumen, and analytical and problemsolving capability
  • Sound communication, planning and prioritisation skills
  • Strong continuous improvement, quality and safety excellence mindset
  • Flexibility to travel inter/intrastate periodically to visit customer and CEVA sites.
