The Role

We're always looking to increase our impact and help more Friends on the street - striving to continually improve is in our DNA at Orange Sky.

This role is a key member of our dynamic Operations Team, and vital to the improvement of services across Australia.

The role includes a mix of core operational tasks as well as supporting and leading short projects which cascade down from the Operations Teams overarching objectives.

In a nutshell, this role is responsible for:

Contribute to the identification and design of tools to automate and streamline processes to ensure information transfer is applied and cross skilling of employees is realised.
Design, develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides ensuring ease of use for a diverse audience.
Develop, plan and lead the delivery of new and existing operational projects in the volunteer, friends, and training areas, and other areas of need.
Develop, implement, and evaluate volunteer training material

The ideal applicant has experience in a similar role within a fast-paced organisation, preferably within the not-for-profit environment and working with a large volunteer base.

Additionally, the ideal applicant has:

Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating projects and an understanding of project management methodology.
Demonstrated experience developing training content and varied delivery styles.
Demonstrated competence to develop and implement procedures and operational documentation to a high standard.
A demonstrated aptitude for IT systems and database development and maintenance.
Proactive attitude, solutionsoriented and a genuine passion for our cause.
