Certificate III, Diploma or Bachelor's in Early Childhood

$31 to $44 per hour depending on experience and qualification


We have casual opportunities available for educators who have completed a relevant early childhood education and care qualification (minimum Certificate III level).

Initially you will be offered shifts at our services in Altona Meadows and Altona North.


One Tree Altona Meadows Children's Service is a 58-place service that incorporates nursery, toddler and kindergarten rooms. We foster the Reggio Emilia Philosophy at our service and believe the environment is the 'third teacher', encouraging exploration and imagination, reflecting the natural world.


One Tree Altona North Children's Service is a big part of the local community. We're always adjusting what we do to make sure our programs reflect the needs of the community and children. The result is an integrated early childhood service that feels like home. There is a nursery, toddler and pre-kindergarten rooms; an activity group, integrated kindergarten, and a sessional kindergarten.


What you'll bring

  • Certificate III or diploma or bachelor's in early childhood education and care
  • Current/valid working with children card
  • Understanding of Inclusion and Programming
  • You will have a bright personality and good energy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

What you'll do

  • You will have a strong understanding of the Children's Services Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework (VEYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • You will have passion and enthusiasm and will want to have fun
  • Provide educational experiences and care for children
  • Communicate effectively with children and families
  • Adhere to the services policies and procedures and work in accordance with all relevant regulations and the National Quality Framework
  • Assist in ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff
  • Reflect upon and improve your practice ensuring you are gaining knowledge and skills that will assist in providing quality services to children and families
