The exciting opportunity:


  • Option for the role to be part time (minimum 4 days a week) or full time
  • Based 15kms South of Perth's CBD
  • Operational and clinical responsibility for the delivery of the organisation's Counselling services from Butler to Albany
  • Lead, mentor, empower, manage and provide clinical support to a team of 20 Counsellors and Peer Support Workers, driving a high performance culture
  • Participate in the development of strategy and business planning, including the review and updating of processes so they are streamlined and align with the other allied health teams
  • Identify areas for service improvement to ensure best practice care is provided in line with governing legislation
  • Manage a small case load of clients so you can relate to your staff's experiences and maintain your clinical skills
  • Develop and nurture positive and mutually beneficial relationships with all stakeholders

About you:


  • Must have a Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor of Counselling or Bachelor of Social Work
  • Demonstrated ability working as a successful Counsellor and Manager within the disability or mental health sectors is essential
  • A confident and supportive leader who empowers staff and has a proven track record driving sustainable change
  • Great critical thinking skills; able to review processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Driven, adaptable, motivated and innovative with excellent communication skills
  • Experience providing counselling to people with neurological conditions is highly desirable
