How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne
The Tourism Operations Marketing Officer is responsible for creating and initiating a marketing plan that will drive awareness of and visitation to our network of Visitor Services Programs.

Being part of the Experience Melbourne branch, the role will directly contribute to positioning Melbourne as the destination of choice for visitors.
The incumbent will work closely with all visitor services programs and key internal and external marketing and communications stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to the creation of the marketing plan and associated projects.
What you will bring (selection criteria)
- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values integrity, courage, respect for staff and others and striving for excellence.
- Relevant degree or experience in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations and/or Communications.
- Sound written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills that can adapt depending on the audience
- Demonstrated ability to work in an environment with competing demands and priorities. Able to take direction with an ability to think creatively and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience with social media and digital communications
- Proven capacity to provide high standard and accurate work within in a fastpaced environment.
