Welcome to the Nambour Centre


At C&K Nambour Childcare Centre, we welcome children from 6 weeks of age to 5 years old and provide care and early learning five days a week from 6:30am to 6:00pm.

Nambour is just under over an hour from the Brisbane CBD. You will have access to shopping, major schools, cycling trails, skating parks, beaches plus much more.


A true connection to nature is promoted and we love to play outside, which means jumping in muddy puddles, chasing the rain, making wombat stew, lots of water play and looking after our animal friends and our plants.

We invite you to join our Nambour team as a
Trainee Assistant.

As a trainee assistant, you will assist in the implementation of a quality care and education program for babies and/or young children, in cooperation with other team members.

We are looking for an enthusiastic
Trainee Assistant to join the Centre.

This position is for a
12-month fixed term contract, with a possibility of extension,
working 40 hours per week, with a monthly rostered day off.

What we will require from you as a Trainee Assistant:

  • Share all duties involved in the care and education of the children with other educators
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and training opportunities
  • Prepare materials and activities as required
  • Contribute to, and actively assist in the delivery of the program planned
  • Build meaningful relationships and interactions with children
  • Contribute to each child's C&K learning portfolio
  • Must be willing to complete studies towards your qualification to successfully complete within the timeframe
  • Ability to commit to and complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care through the C&K College
  • Ability to work as an effective team member

Applicants who already hold an Early Childhood Qualification will not be able to be considered for a traineeship.

C&K College of Early Childhood is a Nationally Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering training to early childhood educators and carers since 1998.

Via this traineeship pathway, our aim is to deliver quality education and training by providing work-based mentoring, tailor-made tutorial sessions delivered by experienced trainers and assessors and access to development resources and C&K policies and procedures.
