Are you looking for an entry into Human Resources that will provide you with the foundational knowledge of the sector? This role supports your development into a HR professional, it will also support the efficient and effective administration of all employee related transactions from the time of recruitment to separation in accordance with NSW Health legislation, policies and procedures.

This role will broadly teach you the principles in maintaining the HRIS system including establishment of positions within the organisation's hierarchy, recruiting, onboarding and supporting staff queries throughout employment.

This knowledge will provide a foundation to progress your career wtihin NSW Health. Flexible work practices are supported.

Where you'll be working
Based at Macquarie Hospital, Northern Sydney Local Health District.


What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for providing a high quality, customer focused workforce service with an emphasis on recruitment and selection, onboarding, maintenance of HRIS system, establishment functions and all transactions relating to an employee's lifecycle from onboarding to separation.
  • Provision of advice and ensuring compliance with relevant human resources legislation, policy and awards and acting as the key central point of contact for all enquiries.
The position will work on a rotation basis in recruitment, establishment and transaction teams.

  • People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply._
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of human resources/personnel principles, interpretation of industrial awards and relevant legislative requirements.
  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills including the ability to prioritise workload with the capability to exercise autonomy and initiative to ensure quality outcomes and within KPIs.
  • Demonstrated customer services skills with a focused and responsive approach to managing a large volume of enquiries. Ability to building and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
