Description

We are looking for a HSE Superintendent to work in an international, challenging and changeable environment, providing best support our client, who operates a modern fleet of accommodation and construction support vessels for the oil and gas industry all over the world.

The position as a HSE Superintendent will work with at least one vessel in operation and potentially participate in fleet wide projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting OIM and Crew with HSE Matters
  • Ensure HSE procedures and safe working practices are in place, implemented and adhered to, in order to fulfil the HSE related objectives and targets set by the client with respect to persons, environment, asset and business.
  • Responsible for the performance of HSAE activities towards client and for ensuring that HSE parts of the contract are planned, organised and executed in accordance with contract, regulatory requirements and established procedures
  • Preparation of HSE plans and HSE reports and other HSE related documentation
  • Preparation of HSE reports to local authorities
  • Responsible for Emergency Response documentation
  • Coordinate, prepare and maintain all Safety Cases and Project Compliance Plans
  • Coordinate and participate in vessel audits and inspections and ensure close out of findings, actions and nonconformities
  • Support Business Aquisition Section as applicable
Qualifications and Experience

  • Engineering (Mechanical/Naval) Nautical Education
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point.
  • 5 years' experience within safety profession or similar
  • Minimum two years marine or offshore experience
  • Applicable experience working with local legislation
  • Able to interact and communicate will with management, personnel, clients and authorities
  • Highly organised, solutionoriented, great ambition to add professional value to the business
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fastmoving environment
Based in Perth, Western Australia. Travelling will be necessary for this position, including offshore travelling as instructed.
