The Opportunity

As an experienced Supervisor or Manager (CA/CPA qualified) this role will see you joining a team of business advisory experts, with a strong work ethic, dedicated to quality client service adding true client value.

You will lead and mentor a team of accountants, manage your own files and liaise with clients.

Our team provides expert advice and support to clients on a range of matters including tax return and financial statement preparation, business structuring, tax minimisation, budgeting and forecasting, asset protection, succession planning and taxation consulting.


Primary Duties

  • Attract and retain clients in a proactive, innovative, and progressive manner that broadens our client base and crosssells firm services where appropriate
  • Develop and work with a network of contacts, maintaining regular touch points and effective relationships with key decision makers
  • Work closely with commercially minded Directors and work as part of a team within senior management
  • Responsibility for servicing a range of clients including proactively conducting client meetings to receive and discuss information
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of your clients' businesses and industries as well as issues affecting clients.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity and professional development including workinprogress, client fees and performance to budget
  • Develop and impart technical knowledge and resources through training and mentoring between team members and other business units
  • Resolve issues identified by staff and making recommendations to management on issues such as morale, team effectiveness, client service and efficiency
  • Proactively contribute to innovation within the business unit
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of software, systems, and work practices by recommending solutions and strategies
  • Actively participate in internal and external professional development sessions
  • Manage and develop expertise and skills in a specific area of technical interest which enhances the firm's reputation, fulfills a service gap, and develops a referral base
  • Actively contribute to firmwide networking opportunities

What you'll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce with an Accounting major
  • Completion of CA/CPA qualification
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within the Tax and Business Services environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical accounting concepts and standards
