About the role


CSO Portfolio Strategy and Transformation (PS&T) is a critical enabler to deliver on CSO's strategic objectives now and as it transforms for the future.

Comprising of Strategy, Transformation & Delivery, Workforce Management, Capability and Supplier Management, the PS&T function holds a single view of strategy and transformation across CSO.

Defining the portfolio-wide roadmap, it supports growing business capability via Centres of Excellence, accelerating delivery and ensures portfolio financial objectives are well managed.


Together, the Strategy & Transformation and Management Office (TMO) and Transformation Governance & Delivery Excellence functions manage the front door of strategic change and delivery of strategic transformation initiatives across CSO.


The CSO Strategy and TMO function has two purposes:
Defines and manages the CSO Portfolio strategy
Manages the front door of strategic change and prioritisation across the CSO Portfolio


The Strategy Manager supports the Strategy & TMO Lead by managing the front door of change and strategic roadmap, including enabling the build of a CSO-wide portfolio strategy, managing the outer year plans and roadmap across CSO.

What will your day look like


This role is accountable for:

The oversight of the CSO strategic roadmap and managing the front door of change coming into and out of CSO
Completing an initial demand assessment of strategic initiatives against the strategic roadmap
Analysing and drawing insights from data to inform CSO strategy and address business challenges
Promoting the CSO Strategy through engaging with business stakeholders, and helping to overcome roadblocks
Aligning CSO Strategy with that of Retail and ANZ Enterprise strategies and initiatives

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Proven strategy development experience, ideally in a consulting capacity
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required;
The ability to 'connect the dots', recommend alternative solutions and translate complex concepts into simplified and understandable examples
Exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and affect change at all levels of the organisation
Strong ability to translate qualitative and quantitative data into meaningful insights to inform business decisions and deliver customer solutions
